Football History and Culture

 In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City of Virginia Beach Parks and Rec chose to eliminate tackle football as a sport they would support. A citywide meeting of several area recreation associations was called and the decision was made to move forward. Through a shared commitment of empowering boys and girls and providing an outlet to learn, develop, and compete, Virginia Beach City Council has supported a grant to the organization each year to help fund the necessary expenses incurred with running the league.
