The Mission of the Virginia Beach Tackle Football League is to teach players, in a positive and safe environment, the fundamentals of the sport and create within them a lifetime appreciation and love of the game.
We will install in our players the challenge of competition, the joy of victory, the reality of defeat and the importance of commitment. We will develop young men and women of character and confidence by emphasizing the value of hard work, goal setting, discipline, sportsmanship and stressing the team over the individual.
We welcome any player with the desire to play and believe each should be given the opportunity to participate based not solely on ability, size, or prior experience, but by effort attendance at practice, attitude, and a willingness to learn.
As coaches and players, we will set the example, both on and off the field, for other athletic teams to follow, within our local area and throughout the city.
We offer youth tackle football for boys and girls ages 8 to 14. Teams are divided into three divisions based upon age and weight. Ages are determined by the player’s age as of SEPTEMBER 1
Boys and girls between 8 and 9 years old will have unlimited weight.
Players 10 years old can play in Junior Division provided they are UNDER 75lb
Learn how to play football with experienced coaches and a safe environment
Boys and girls between 10 and 11 years old – up to 140 play
Players 12 years old can play in the Int. Division provided they are UNDER 100lbs.
Learn how to play football in a safe fun atmosphere
Boys and girls between 12 and 13 years old – up to 165lbs
Players 14 years old can play in the Senior Division provided they are UNDER 150lbs and are not on a high school football roster.
